About The Juice Index

The Juice Index is an editorial publication and directory for EV charging in the United States. We cover the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West first — Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah — and expand from there.

What we cover

Three kinds of content.

Network guides

Definitive guides to each major US charging network — Tesla Supercharger, Electrify America, ChargePoint, EVgo. Pricing, connectors, and honest reliability notes.

Explainers

Plain-language guides to DC fast charging, charging costs, charging apps, and trip planning.

Regional editorial

State hubs, corridor guides, city hubs, and NEVI build-out tracking. The part that makes this a publication rather than a generic directory.

What we don't do

A few hard lines.

  • We don't chase "near me" searches. We have no physical locations and no Google Business Profile to game.
  • We don't build pages around amenities, landmarks, or hyper-specific corridor queries.
  • We don't sell installation leads. We are not a lead-generation business.
  • We don't publish fake reviews or fake listings of any kind.
  • We are honest about network reliability and pricing problems. We are not a network's marketing department.
Data & verification

How we keep this current.

Station data comes from the NREL Alternative Fuels Data Center, refreshed nightly. Field Intelligence and Sustainability Scores are added by our editors for select stations. Read the full data and verification methodology.
